Channel 4 in the UK are showing an adapted version of the ‘Random’ which played at the Royal Court to crtitcal acclaim in 2008. Initialy a one woman play it follows the story of a family who are blighted by a random act of violence.
Written by Debbie Tucker Green the story is narrated by ‘Sister; movingly played by Nadine Marshall (The Smoking Room )

Riding High

Excellent film from Rapha ‘Rapha Rides the Victorian Alps’. Beautifully shot, allowing the riders and the landscapes to just tell their story.
Just makes me wanna get on my bike now and head for the mountains.

This poster is bound to be a collectors item for any Tribe fans. Actor Michael Rappaport’s eagerly anticipated doc on a Tribe Called Quest is released on July 8th in the U.S. After their 1998 break-up, the film follows the group on a series of sold-out concerts after they reunited briefly in 2008. With rarely heard stories from Red Alert, the Native Tongues members like Monie Love, Busta Rhymes and Questlove of the roots, the film chronicles songs like ‘Scenario’ and ‘Check the Rhime’. In addition to looking at the bands past present and future, the movie talks to Mos Def, Large Proffessor, The Beastie Boys, De La Soul, Pete Rock and many many more.
